The Scuf Instinct Pro is a great alternative to the Xbox Elite Series 2, as it’s equipped with four backpaddles and boasts a sleek, ergonomic design. As you’d expect for a premium gamepad, it’s normally quite expensive at $250. That’s all changing for Prime Big Deal Days, however, as Amazon is slashing the price to just $195. The Scuf Instinct Pro doesn’t often see discounts this low, so consider giving it a closer look if you’re in the market for a premium gamepad.

Best Buy’s Deals of the Day for Thursday include a particularly nice couple of deals on Roccat gaming keyboards, with both the Vulcan 120 and the Vulcan 121 mechanical keyboards on sale for $105 each. That marks their lowest price ever, though we’ll note that Amazon is price-matching this deal as well. The Deals of the Day are available only through the rest of today; after that, they’ll return to their $160 list price.

The Vulcan 120 and 121 keyboards are basically the same in terms of build and features. The 120 is silver, while the 121 comes in a darker black; both feature AIMO illumination for RGB backlighting and LED effects. The 120 comes with Roccat’s tactile and crisp Titan switches, while the 121 has linear switches for extremely fast keystrokes and consistency. Both include wrist rests that are magnetically detachable along with programmable macro keys and full n-key rollover so every keystroke is registered.

Three weeks after its mid-March theatrical release, Shazam! Fury of the Gods is set to hit digital platforms on April 7. This comes after the sequel to 2019’s Shazam had a disappointing box office performance, so far reportedly bringing in roughly $120 million worldwide–or barely breaking even, per Box Office Mojo data.

The new film sees Asher Angel’s Billy Batson transform into Zachary Levi’s superhero alter ego, Shazam, to take on the daughters of Atlas, played by Lucy Liu, Helen Mirren, and Rachel Zegler. The digital release will include both rental and purchase options, with a rental costing $20 for a 48-hour viewing window and a purchase costing $25 for premium digital ownership. The physical copy release date is expected to be on May 23.

After a 13-year wait, Space Marine’s sequel is nearly here. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be available tomorrow, September 5, for those who purchase the Gold or Ultra Editions for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. The standard edition launches Monday, September 9. Multiple preorder bonuses are up for grabs, and the physical Gold Edition comes with a steelbook case and bonus in-game content–but this edition is only available in limited quantities. Console versions of Space Marine 2 cost $10 more than their PC counterparts. That gap is actually even wider right now, as Fanatical is discounting Steam keys for all three editions ahead of launch.

If you’re unsure if you want to buy the long-awaited sequel, we awarded it an 8/10 in our Space Marine 2 review-in-progress, calling it “a more-than-worthy successor to the 2011 original.” We still need to spend some time with PvP when multiplayer servers are active before finalizing our review, but the hack-and-slash combat is satisfying and the sprawling world is well-designed.

Horror developer Bloober Team has a message for Silent Hill fans who are concerned about its Silent Hill 2 remake: Don’t worry, it’ll be fine. In an interview with DreadXP, Bloober Team’s marketing chief Anna Jasińska said that the remake will be faithful to the original Silent Hill 2 while overhauling some aspects of the game that haven’t aged well.

“Longtime fans shouldn’t worry about us ‘missing the point’ while we’re livening up the title,” Jasińska said. “We faithfully stick to the traditional story canon while remaking the gameplay and updating the graphics from the ground up. A big visible change is the adoption of an over-the-shoulder camera, which altered the perspective of a few iconic set pieces, but also meant an overhaul to the combat system.”

Activision Blizzard has reportedly committed to releasing the next three entries in the Call of Duty series on PlayStation, following its buyout by Microsoft.

According to Bloomberg, this year’s Call of Duty game, which is rumored to be a new entry in the Modern Warfare series developed by Infinity Ward, will launch on PlayStation consoles. The other two are Treyarch’s project that is currently in development as well as a new iteration of 2020’s free-to-play title Call of Duty: Warzone. Both of those projects are expected to launch in 2023.

Microsoft’s Phil Spencer spoke with Sony last week and confirmed that existing contracts will be honored and that Call of Duty will remain on PlayStation. Speculation ran rampant about what Spencer specifically meant, but now we have an idea. Once these next three Call of Duty games launch on PlayStation, then Microsoft could move forward in making the franchise an exclusive for its Xbox and PC ecosystem.

Early Access game Sons of the Forest certainly makes no attempts to hold your hand through its open-world survival horror experience–it just drops you on this hellish isle and tells you to have fun, with only a GPS device, an objective, instructions for building a few basic structures, and your own wits (and those of your friends if you’re playing co-op) to get you through.

But if you want to not just survive, but thrive, then you’re gonna need a few more supplies than what you start with. And there’s one cave near the beach starting location that will give you a leg up early with two very important pieces of equipment: the stun gun, and the rebreather.

How to get the rebreather in Sons of the Forest

There are three possible starting spots, and if you’re lucky you’ll be on the beach right next to the cave that contains both the rebreather and the stun gun. But even if you do start the game next to this cave, you probably aren’t ready to go right in–you’ll want to at least get a decent weapon before heading in, and a light source stronger than your lighter would also help, because this cave is very dark.

Sonic’s next adventure is only months away. The always-on-the-run blue hedgehog will make his return to consoles and PC on November 8 in Sonic Frontiers. As always, Sonic will be zipping around the world on his ridiculously nimble feet, but this time around he’ll have larger 3D environments to use as his playground. Big Sonic fans will be happy to learn that you can preorder a copy of Sonic Frontiers now.

In Sonic Frontiers, the hedgehog becomes stranded on a strange group of islands during his search for the Chaos Emeralds. The island is split into five “massive overworld islands” with different environments, from hilly tree-covered lands to deserts. In addition to high-speed platforming using Sonic’s usual tricks, Sonic Frontiers will have a new combat system with parries and counters as well as a skill tree. It certainly sounds like this could be one of the more varied entries in franchise history.
